Anne AldrichANNE ALDRICH

Anne makes it her business to determine what makes people tick. Combine this with her extensive experience building marketing initiatives, and Anne is well equipped to help understand your audience and develop a strategy to effectively reach it. Anne is one of the founding partners of Artemis Strategy Group.

As part of the Artemis team, she devises and applies motivation research techniques for client programs that span the financial services, consumer goods, government and nonprofit sectors. This work ranges from deep exploration of motivations to more tactical communications development and assessment efforts. Anne also has had considerable success with research programs explicitly designed for public release as a means of gaining recognition of clients’ priorities and knowledge.

Prior to founding Artemis in 2006, Anne was Senior Vice President at Harris Interactive and led a highly successful new Financial Services Industry Research Group. Anne was previously a Senior Vice President of WirthlinWorldwide, leading the company’s Midwest business groups and its Financial Services Consultancy. Anne gained some of her financial services experience prior to joining WirthlinWorldwide in 1996 as an officer in the marketing research group at Old Kent Financial Corporation (now Fifth Third Bank). Before this, she co-founded a marketing research firm after starting her career at Fort Wayne Newspapers where she managed research for the editorial, advertising and circulation functions of the newspaper.

Anne has a BA from Indiana University. She volunteers as a marketing consultant for SCORE, an organization that provides support and counsel to entrepreneurs.

 

Dave RichardsonDAVE RICHARDSON

Dave is a man of many questions. People who work with him know he excels at probing for information and answers in order to help colleagues and clients frame a business problem or sharpen the interpretation of a research project. Dave has spent most of his career leading research on messaging and communications campaigns for either corporate marketing or policy purposes.

Prior to starting Artemis in 2006, Dave was President of WirthlinWorldwide and then Group President of Harris Interactive when it acquired WirthlinWorldwide in 2004. He was part of the team that built WirthlinWorldwide into one of the largest and most respected brand research and strategy advisors to major corporations, associations and nonprofit organizations around the world. Dave is committed to ensuring that Artemis provides innovative and potent messaging research and advice that solves the inherent challenges in marketing and policy communications.

He has a BA from Yale and a Master of Public Affairs from the University of Minnesota’s Humphrey Institute. He currently serves on the Humphrey Institute Advisory Board and is a board member and former board chairperson of the Virginia Veterans Services Foundation, sponsor of the Virginia Wounded Warrior Program. Dave was a board member of CASRO, the research industry trade association, and served as Board Chairman in 2005.

Jon DewittJON DEWITT

Jon has the unique ability to make profound, breakthrough observations and conclusions and to then communicate those insights in a straightforward, easily comprehensible manner. He is a global brand strategy specialist with broad experience across a spectrum of research and innovation assignments.

Prior to founding Artemis, he was Senior Vice President with Harris Interactive and with WirthlinWorldwide for 12 years as the leading brand strategy specialist on major assignments spanning industry sectors. During his time at Harris and Wirthlin, his work was twice recognized with David Ogilvy Awards for innovative research in support of strategic advertising campaigns. Jon began to build his global knowledge as Vice President of Macro International; he established and managed research operations during the late ’80s and early ’90s in Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Russia, helping Western companies introduce their products and services to the newly opened markets of Eastern Europe.

Jon began his career and developed his orientation to politics and policy as a legislative and research director for U.S. Senator Robert T. Stafford (R-VT). Jon holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of North Carolina.

Brian O'MearaBRIAN O’MEARA

Senior Strategist

Brian has a passion for identifying what motivates consumers in various decision contexts. He is a global research and marketing specialist with deep experience in the healthcare, medical devices, consumer products and food sectors. His studies have provided strategic direction and tactical solutions in the areas of brand strategy, new product development, communications optimization and market structure understanding.

Prior to joining Artemis, Brian was Vice President at Harris Interactive and Vice President/Leader of WirthlinWorldwide’s Chicago team. While at Wirthlin, Brian was a leader in bringing values-based understanding to some of the largest brands in the consumer packaged goods industry, domestically and internationally.

Brian’s skills also build on more than 15 years in marketing research and marketing roles at Coca-Cola, Pillsbury and 3M. Assignments with 3M included establishing a European market research organization in Brussels and managing the marketing department for 3M’s promotional markets business for Europe, the U.S., Latin America and Asia. Brian holds a master’s degree in economics from SMU in Dallas.

Research Manager

Christine pays attention to the little things—with an eagle eye for detail—while still keeping the big picture in sight and mind. As Research Manager at Artemis, she always has the end goal in sight and is particularly thorough.

Her background includes advertising research experience at BBDO and a long stint at WirthlinWorldwide, where her management of large international assignments was a huge asset. Christine holds an honors BA in political science and German from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She completed a master’s degree and all but her dissertation toward a doctorate in international relations and political economy at Northwestern University.

Julie PaascheJULIE PAASCHE

Research Manager

Julie is a relationship builder and understands that strong communication with clients, colleagues and respondents leads to success. She is a seasoned research manager with experience conducting quantitative and qualitative research in the areas of financial services, insurance, transportation, education, public opinion and health at the national, state and local levels. Julie is most interested in understanding motivation and its influences on behavior. One client noted, “Julie has the rare ability to take in and process a multitude of facts and details and focus on what’s most important. She asks the questions to identify what to do next, carving away the fat and the distractions.”

Prior to joining Artemis, Julie was the Senior Research Manager at NuStats, leading a team of project managers conducting large-scale, long-term transportation research studies. Before that she led the marketing research department for Foremost Insurance Group (now Farmers Insurance Group), and previously was a member of the marketing research group at Old Kent Financial Corporation (now Fifth Third Bank). Julie graduated summa cum laude in economics and history from Hope College.
